Fibernyl is een bioplastic gemaakt van o.a. Olifantsgras. Mede hierdoor zijn de platen biobased en biodegradable. Dit betekent dat het gemaakt is van biologische producten en biologisch afbreekbaar is. Olifantsgras legt vier keer meer CO2 vast dan bomen en heeft geen irrigatie, meststoffen en pesticides nodig. Dit maakt het een zeer duurzaam gewas dat tevens in Nederland groeit. De platen zijn daarnaast goed te bewerken, maar bioplastic is over het algemeen niet geschikt voor langdurig buitengebruik, tijdelijke toepassingen kan prima. Van onze verschillende bioplastic soorten heeft Fibernyl de meest natuurlijke look en feel.
